I sometimes shake hands when meet some new. However, I never shake hands with older people. When I met Colgate University student, I shake hands with him. In Japan, I think it is not the custom to shake hands, but in America, they has a custom to it. So I was easy to shake hands them.

It depends. You feel you need distance to the others, but I like touching people when I talk, because I don't want to feel distance.
